EAIP Ph.D. THESIS AWARD

To encourage young researchers working in the field of inverse problems and applications, The Eurasian Association on Inverse Problems (EAIP) has also established an EAIP Ph.D. Thesis Award. The Award recognizes a Ph.D. thesis and associated papers published in the preceding two-year period that demonstrate original and significant contributions to inverse problem theory and applications. The Ph.D. Thesis Awards are rewarded biennially to up to two Ph.D. students who submitted their Ph.D. theses to a university in the countries on the Eurasian continent in the period between two conferences “Inverse Problems: Modeling and Simulation” (IPMS).

Candidates for the EAIP PhD Thesis Award must be nominated by their supervisor. The nomination must consist of a letter from the supervisor explaining why the thesis should be nominated for the award and a PDF file of the thesis or its extended abstract in English.

Nomination materials should be submitted via email to the IPMS Conference Secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. The application for candidacy begins six months before the date of each IPMS conference and lasts for four months. The evaluation of candidates by the EAIP Ph.D. Thesis Award Committee ends two months before the date of the conference.

The EAIP PhD Thesis Award consists of an award plaque, a cash prize of EUR 500, a fee waiver for the next IPMS conference and a travel grant not exceeding EUR 500.

The Award is given during the Opening Ceremony of each International Conference "Inverse Problems: Modeling and Simulation".
